Your responsibilities will or may include:
- Assisting LEZA with the review of claims assessments and repudiations and issuing repudiation letters to the attorney and member or returning submitted repudiations back to CA's with queries and processing repudiations for review purposes.
- Updating Repudiation Smartsheet registers.
- Liaising with Customer Care on Member objections to repudiations received.
- Following the SOP in respect of Member objections received, and assists the Specialists with the issuing of the necessary member communications.
- Assisting the Claims and Legal Services Specialists in Compiling review folders for Independent Referee on objections forwarded to her/him.
- Assisting the Claims and Legal Services Specialists in Liaising with Claims Hub managers and other claims staff in respect of problematic cases or obtaining further case information.
- Assisting the Claims and Legal Services Specialists in Ensuring recommendations deriving from monthly claims meetings i.r.o. repudiation issues are picked up and addressed adequately.
- Monitoring service issues in respect of repudiations from internal and external service providers.
- Assisting with the implementation of required corrective actions as per IR findings.
- Assisting with drafting recommendation reports to LEZA IDI and EO on problematic repudiations.
- Compiling and keeping of EXCO reporting stats on Repudiations and Repudiation objections.
- As an understudy, reports to an IDI on day to day disciplines and administration, related to LEZA Claims Repudiation work.
- Keeping abreast of relevant legislation governing business practices of the LEZA Group.
- Promoting sound business practices in accordance with relevant regulations, governing business practices.
- Assisting with ad hoc tasks as and when required.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Final Year Legal degree BCom / BA Law or LLB (NQF Level 7)
- Good Administration skills and written language skills.
- Legal Expenses Insurance Claims assessment and/or legal services experience will be advantageous.
- You must be able to speak English fluently and the ability to speak one other official South African language would be to your advantage.
- Must have the ability to build rapport with individuals and work in a team.
- Must be Computer Literate.
- Must be proactive in researching best practices business concepts relevant to claims to apply as appropriate.
- Someone who can work independently.
- Only open to South African citizens
