The news emerged on Monday, 2 June, after ZATreanding posted a video on Instagram showing a man dressed like the musician, claiming it was Scotts Maphuma being taken into custody.
The exact details are still unknown, but the blog claimed, “Scott has been (allegedly) arrested here in Mozambique, according to a reliable source. He was supposed to perform here. The reasons for the arrest are still unclear.”
The video has caused a stir online, with many South Africans reacting with shock, while some are unsure if the video is real.
