"Minnie Dlamini Accuses MacG of Prolonged Harassment"
"In early May, MacG made crude remarks about Minnie Dlamini during a podcast episode, insinuating that her breakup with plastic surgeon Brian Monaisa was due to personal hygiene issues and questioning her ability to 'keep a man."
Although MacG publicly expressed a desire to move past the controversy and offered an olive branch to Minnie Dlamini, his comments ultimately prompted her to pursue legal action.
In a heartfelt interview on The Motherhood Network, Minnie opened up about the emotional toll the remarks had taken on her and her family.
“It was incredibly disturbing,” she said. “My dad, brother, and mother had to hear that. One day my child will go to school, and he’ll either read it or someone will bring it up to him. It’s not OK.”
Minnie went on to suggest that the repeated attacks on her character stem from her vocal support of actress Amanda du-Pont, who was also subjected to derogatory comments on MacG’s podcast.
Minnie Dlamini recounted how the harassment began after she publicly condemned derogatory remarks made about actress Amanda du-Pont on MacG’s podcast.
“It started with comments made on his platform where he spoke about Amanda in a vile way,” she explained. “I remember speaking to Amanda—she was in tears—and I said, ‘I’m sorry.’ I called him out. When something is wrong, it must be called out. I didn’t address him personally; I simply said the statements were vile and degrading, and that no woman should be spoken about like that.”
According to Minnie, that moment of solidarity sparked years of targeted attacks.
“Since then, I’ve endured harassment from this man for three-and-a-half years—up to his most recent comment—all because I stood up for a fellow woman in the industry,” she said.
Dlamini stressed the importance of challenging misogyny and holding those responsible accountable.
“I went from having a successful, independent career to being the subject of harmful narratives—accused of sleeping my way to the top, being called a prostitute, told I sell my body,” she continued. “And now, to the point where he has the audacity to speak about my private parts on a public platform, all because I defended a woman.”
“It’s not OK,” she added. “I’m not clickbait.”
